Kim Jong Un is rumored to be dead, according to a Hong Kong broadcast network, while a Japanese magazine is reporting that North Korea’s rocket man is in a “vegetative state” after he underwent heart surgery earlier this month.
The conflicting reports continue after earlier this week, CNN reported that they had word from U.S. intelligence officials that Kim Jong Un was in “grave danger” following a surgery. Bloomberg backed up that reporting, saying U.S. officials were unsure if the North Korean leader was alive.
An MSNBC anchor later that night reported that she had sources saying Kim Jong Un was brain dead.
South Korea, however, said they had seen nothing to suggest Kim Jong Un was in danger, and North Korea has not revealed the condition of their leader.
