A suspect has been arrested in the shooting of a Houston mail carrier that left the carrier in critical condition, KHOU-TV reports.
Matthew Williams, 24, has been charged with aggravated assault against a public servant, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a weapon, theft of a motor vehicle, violation of a protective order, and assault of a family member.
He is accused of shooting 30-year-old Adrian Jackson in an apparent random attack. Jackson remains in critical condition.
Williams reportedly fled the scene and then tried to shoot an elderly man at a business, however his gun did not go off.
Houston police are conducting an extensive investigation alongisde ATF.
