“Schoolhouse Rock!” Singer Dies

Famed actor, singer and trumpeter Jack Sheldon has died, according to 88, according to the sister of Shedon’s manager.

Sheldon “was part of the 1950s West Coast jazz movement along with artists Art Pepper and Shorty Rogers. He collaborated on “The Shadow of Your Smile,” which was part of the soundtrack of the 1965 film “The Sandpiper,” according to CNN.

He joined “The Merv Griffin Show” as Griffin’s sidekick and music director.

He was also known as singer on “Schoolhouse Rock!” who sang such tunes as “Conjunction Junction” and “I’m Just A Bill.”
