Two people we killed and another is in critical condition after a reported shooting at a church in White Settlement, Texas. Multiple agencies are responding to the West Freeway Church of Christ where the shooting occurred.
NEW: Fort Worth Fire Department says the shooting call to West Freeway Church of Christ came in at 9:57. Church service begins at 10:30, according to the church’s website. MedStar spokeswoman Macara Trusty confirmed that one person died at the scene and one person died en route to a hospital. Another person was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
A Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman Mike Drivdahl said the agency sent out an “active threat” assignment about 11:30 a.m. and was at the scene to assist White Settlement police and fire.
A witness told CBS 11 News that the gunman shot someone with a shotgun during communion and that he was then taken down by another church member.
