A former Alabama youth minister has been given the maximum sentence for the sexual abuse of multiple teenagers, WBMA-TV reports.
Acton Bowen was sentenced on 28 charges related to sexually abusing six teenagers in Etowah County. The 38-year-old had been accused by the victims of abusing them for months or in some cases, years.
Bowen had pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this month.
Bowen was also charged with lewd or lascivious battery in Bay County, Florida, after the FBI began helping local law enforcement investigating Bowen’s trips with teenage boys across state lines.
