A 25-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl at a Chicago public library, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The child was reportedly at the Walker Branch of the Chicago Public Library with her mother. When her mother walked away for a moment, the man came over to her “near a desk in the corner room of the library,” and sexually assaulted her.
The man, whose name was not released, ran away from the scene but was later found and arrested. He had reportedly been banned from the library in the past “due to his inappropriate behavior with the female librarians.”
The 11-year-old girl was taken to a nearby hospital as a result of the incident.
