Police in Columbus, Ohio, says that they are responding to reports of shots being fired at officers from a home, WBNS-TV reports.
Columbus police say that the man is barricaded inside of a residence in the western part of the city and has fired out towards responding officers. Three schools, Lindbergh Elementary, Hilltonia Middle, and West Mound Elementary are on lockdown due to the shooting.
A lockdown ordered at Briggs High School has since been lifted.
Columbus Police say they are currently evacuating homes around the barricade situation while negotiations are ongoing.
It is unclear if there are any injuries to police or bystanders at this time. SWAT units and negotiators are at the scene.
