Several men participating in SantaCon, an annual tradition in which people dressed as Santa go bar hopping, subdued a stabbing suspect aboard a Long Island Rail Road train, police said.
Two men were fighting on the train that was heading from Manhattan to Long Island around 6 p.m. One of the men, who was allegedly drunk, shouting homophobic slurs and waving a knife, stabbed a 22-year-old in the leg, according to the New York Daily News.
That’s when a group of “Santas” jumped in to restrain the man. A video posted to Twitter shows the altercation.
