BREAKING: Shooting Reported at Georgia Manufacturing Plant, Schools on Lockdown

The plant was deemed “secure,” deputies said at about 9:45 a.m. but the shooter had not yet been apprehended, NBC News reported.


Multiple police and emergency vehicles have responded to a Conyers, Georgia, production plant Friday morning after a gunman entered the Dart Container Corporation at around 7 a.m. and shot an employee. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Three schools in the area have been placed on lockdown as a precaution. Police are still searching for the shooter. A spokesman for the company said, “At this time, we have no further information on the victim or the shooter.”
