Over a dozen men have been arrested in Arizona following an operation targeting human sex trafficking, KPHO-TV reports.
Police in Mesa announced Wednesday that they have arrested 17 men as part of a sex trafficking sting, dubbed “Operation Naughty List.”
Mesa PD said the operation was part of its “continuous effort to reduce the demand that fuels humans sex trafficking from our community.” They added that the suspects range in age from 26 to 81 years old.
All of the men face a charge of prostitution. The arrests were made as part of Mesa police’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEaT) Squad, which was created to “combat the rising activity surrounding sex trafficking within the City of Mesa.”
It is unclear if any victims were identified in the operation.
