The shooter was killed and 3 others are dead at Pensacola, Florida, NAS shooting.
The sheriff’s office says two deputies were also shot and injured. The deputies suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
An active shooter has been reported at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
Jason Bortz, a spokesman for NAS Pensacola, confirmed that an active shooter was reported sometime around 7 a.m. Friday. Both gates to the facility are closed and the base is on lockdown.
Six total victims have been confirmed. Two of the victims in the shooting were injured critically, according to a base spokesman. One additional person has non-critical injuries. Two victims were killed, in addition to the shooter, the spokesman confirmed.
The navy base is going to be shut down all day.
