Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested in Frisco, Texas, Tuesday and charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence, according to the NFL. He was also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
Police allege that Woods had more than two ounces but fewer than four ounces, a misdemeanor under Texas law. The tampering with evidence charge is a felony.
The NFL could also punish Woods. Players who are found legally responsible for marijuana possession always receive a suspension. Woods was already going to miss Thursday night’s game with a knee injury.
