Officials say that three boys have been arrested for making terroristic threats to a school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, WITI-TV reports.
Milwaukee police arrested three boys, ages 12, 13, and 14, for making terrorist threats on social media to Wedgewood Park International School on the city’s south side.
Police say that they were made aware of the threats late Tuesday night and made the arrests Wednesday morning. Officials did not give any information as to the specifics of the threats.
A spokesperson Milwaukee Public Schools issued the following statement:
“Overnight, MPS and Wedgewood leadership became aware of some hostile comments about the school on social media. MPD was contacted and the person responsible has been identified and located. MPD has assured us that our school is safe and the school day has proceeded normally. MPS takes these matters very seriously and moved quickly to ensure the safety of students and staff.”
