A businessman from Fairhope, Alabama, who had publicly announced he was running for president in July, has been arrested on two felony charges, WKRG-TV reports.
Jacob Daniel Dyas was reportedly arrested after he turned himself in in connection to an incident that took place in November. Dyas has been charged with willful abuse of child and domestic violence strangulation.
Dyas announced that he was running for president on July 4th from Mount Rushmore. He is the owner of Dyas Construction Management LLC in Fairhope.
Dyas was also arrested on domestic violence-charges in 2010. In the past, he has also run for Congress and the Baldwin County Commission.
