BREAKING: Large Earthquake Shakes Alaska

A large magnitude-6.0 earthquake has shaken 60km east of Amatignak island in Alaska, according to the USGS.

The earthquake struck Sunday evening at a depth of about 27.3 km.

No tsunami is expected from the earthquake.

The USGS PAGER service, which uses earthquake data and historical data to predict the likelihood of damage and fatalities resulting from large earthquakes, says there is a 29% chance of at least one fatality resulting from the earthquake.
