Multiple women have accused EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland of sexual misconduct, KOIN-TV reports, citing the Portland Monthly Magazine.
The article outlining the allegations was co-published by ProPublica and the Portland Monthly Magazine on Wednesday. They report that three women have accused Sondland of misconduct during business interactions.
In addition to the accusations of misconduct by Sondland, the women also allege that they suffered retaliation professionally after they rejected his advances.
Sondland has denied all claims of wrongdoing, saying in a statement:
“In decades of my career in business and civic affairs, my conduct can be affirmed by hundreds of employees and colleagues with whom I have worked in countless circumstances. These untrue claims of unwanted touching and kissing are concocted and, I believe, coordinated for political purposes. They have no basis in fact, and I categorically deny them.”
Sondland is the founder and owner of Provenance Hotels, which operates 6 hotels in Portland, Oregon.
