UPDATE: Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for all of Port Neches, northern Port Arthur, Nederland, and Groves, KBMT-TV reports.
There has been a new explosion at the TPC plant in Jefferson County, Texas, KBTV-TV reports.
Explosions were originally reported early Wednesday morning at the chemical plant, located off Highway 366 in Port Neches. Damage was reported to nearby homes as well as a school. A mandatory evacuation order for those within a four mile radius of the plant is in effect.
Three injuries were reported in the original explosion, but no fatalities. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the new reported blast. All firefighters at the scene have been accounted for, according to KBMT-TV.
