Five people have died and at least four others were injured in a high-rise fire in Minneapolis Wednesday morning.
Minneapolis Fire first reported the fire at 4:30 a.m. Firefighters evacuated many of the residents from the fire which was later determined to have spread throughout the 14th floor of the building. Heavy smoke spread to the 16th and 17th floors, firefighters said.
The city’s fire chief told KARE-TV a firefighter suffered minor injuries. The identities of the victims are unknown.
