UPDATE: Police say that there was a “targeted shooting” in the parking lot of the school. There is no danger to students and no staff were injured. The lockdown at the school has been lifted, KGW-TV reports.
There is a heavy police presence at an elementary school in Vancouver, Washington, Tuesday afternoon, KOIN-TV reports.
Police say they responded to Sarah J. Anderson Elementary School in the northeast part of the city after reports of gunshots near the campus. The school was placed on lockdown as a result.
It is unclear if the reports have been confirmed or where exactly they may have taken place.
Officials said the Southbound I-205 ramp to Padden Parkway was closed.
