An armed Marine Corps deserter wanted for murder has been placed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list, CNN reports.
Michael Alexander Brown, 22, is suspected in the killing his mother’s boyfriend in Hardy, Virginia, around nine miles east of the city of Roanoke.
Brown is accused of killing his mother’s boyfriend, Rodney Brown, 54, after the 54-year-old was found dead inside his home on November 9th.
Michael Brown reportedly deserted his post at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina in October. Officials say Brown is known to frequent national parks and forests, and may be living in the woods.
He is believed to be armed with a high-powered rifle and may have access to other weapons. He is considered to be dangerous.
A $10,000 reward has been offered by the U.S. Marshals for information leading to an arrest.
