Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is expected to appear in a Pennsylvania courtroom Friday for a resentencing hearing. It is not expected to significantly change his time in prison.
Sandusky, 75, was convicted in 2012 of 45 counts of child sexual abuse involving 10 boys through his youth charity. Sandusky has maintained his innocence. He is now serving a sentence of 30 to 60-years.
The hearing was ordered by a state appeals court after ruling that mandatory minimum sentences in his case had been improperly applied against him. The court refused to order a new trial.
