Police in Queens, New York, say that one person was injured and another in custody after a large fight broke out at a mall, WABC-TV reports.
Police say that chaos broke out among a crowd of around 200 children at the Queens Center Mall after a fight escalated at the shopping center.
Rumors of a large fight at the mall surfaced Friday afternoon on Snapchat after children were let out of school early for a half-day. Officials someone began throwing fake cash over a railing from an upper level, and a large fight ensued as the teens scrambled to grab what they thought was real money.
Several fights also broke out outside the mall after the children were removed, police say. No one under the age of 18 was able to reenter the mall after the incident, according to police.
