Officials in San Diego County, California, say that dozens of alleged drug dealers have been arrested in a sting operation, KNSD-TV reports.
Police say that 32 suspected drug dealers were arrested in the sting, which targeted the East Village area. Residents in the downtown area had complained to police earlier this year, stating that there had been a bigger drug presence in the area.
The District Attorney’s Office and the San Diego Police Department set up a four month investigation near Petco Park to investigate the claims.
As of Friday, 32 of the 41 accused have been arrested, and of those people, 30 have already been arraigned on related charges.
