The owner of a home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that went up in flames early Friday morning says that the dog that saved his dog has died, KTUL-TV reports.
The blaze reportedly broke out at 1 a.m. Friday morning after a small fire started outside the home, spreading to a boat and car in the driveway, and then to the garage and attic.
Five adults and four children were sleeping at the time, but were awakened by the dog, who was acting strangely in an attempt to warn them of the fire in the attic, the homeowner says.
All nine residents were able to escape the home safely, but the dog, Kaos, was unable to escape.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
