Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez is reportedly facing 21 new child sex-related charges after evidence of child pornography was found on his phone, TribLIVE reports.
Prosecutors in Pennsylvania say that Vazquez, who was arrested earlier this year for sexual contact with a teenage girl, was also in possession of child pornography.
The charges filed Tuesday include 10 counts of child pornography, 10 counts of unlawful contact with a minor and a single charge of corruption of minors. Florida prosecutors had requested his extradition to their state, where he has also been charged with sex crimes, but a judge has denied that until he faces charges in Pennsylvania.
Vazquez, 28, was arrested in September on a warrant issued by Florida police, accusing the former All-Star pitcher of sending sexually explicit photos to a teen girl and soliciting sex via text message.
