Dozens Arrested in Federal Drug Ring Bust

Federal officials say that they have arrested dozens of people as part of a drug conspiracy case tied to two business in Cincinnati, Ohio, WLWT-TV reports.

Federal officials say that 37 people were arrested as part of the investigation, which alleges that the defendants conspired to possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.

The two Cincinnati businesses were also reportedly used to launder proceeds from the narcotics conspiracy.

The federal government has seized more than half a million dollars in cash, 19 pounds of fentanyl, 3 pounds of heroin, 100 pounds of cocaine, 42 pounds of methamphetamine, 47 weapons, 12 vehicles, the jewelry store inventory, assorted jewelry belonging to defendants and residences valued at approximately $1.1 million thus far in this case.
