Five people were shot and killed, including three children, at a Paradise Hills, California, home Saturday.
San Diego Police were called to the home around 7 a.m. Saturday after reports of the shooting. Police arrived to find six people who had been shot. Five of them have died.
A 5-year-old boy and 9-year-old boy were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A 3-year-old boy and the boys’ 29-year-old mother were pronounced dead at the scene, according to San Diego Police Lt. Matt Dobbs. A 31-year-old male was also among the dead, but his relationship to the family is not known.
An 11-year-old boy was injured and undergoing surgery for unknown injuries, police said. The four boys and their mother lived in a home on the property, while relatives lived in the main residence, neighbors said.
Police said there was no threat to the community after the shooting and believe the shooter was among those adults killed.
