BREAKING: Emmy-Winning Former Los Angeles TV Correspondent Charged with Child Sex Crime

Dr. Bruce Hensel, a former longtime medical correspondent for KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, has been arrested on suspicion of contacting a minor with intent to commit sexual acts, KABC-TV reports.

Hensel was arrested Wednesday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Juvenile division. In October, the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crime Against Children Task Force also served a search warrant at his home.

Items were reportedly removed from his home during that October 16th raid.

Hensel was a medical correspondent for KNBC for nearly three decades and had prior stints at NBC in New York and KCOP in Los Angeles, winning multiple Emmys for his work.
