A “pedophile ring” believed to be responsible for the abuse of over 500 boys in Afghanistan has been discovered, according to The Guardian.
The Guardian reports that “some of the victims of the abuse have been murdered,” saying “five families killed their sons after their faces were seen on videos posted to social media. Two other boys … were killed last week, although the perpetrators are unknown.”
The at least 546 boys come from at least six different schools, and authorities are investigating other schools.
Teachers, administrators and local officials are “implicated in the abuse ring,” according to the report.
