An Oklahoma police chief has reportedly been killed by one of his officers during a training retreat in Pensacola Beach, Florida.
Mannford Police Chief Lucky Miller was found dead inside of a hotel in Pensacola Beach Sunday night following reports of a fight.
Michael Nealey, 49, was arrested and charged with homicide in connection to the killing, but further details into what led up to the police chief’s murder and how he was killed have not been provided.
Miller, 44, had been police chief in Mannford since 2007. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
“We are heartbroken by the news,” Mannford Mayor Tyler Buttram said in a Facebook post. “Please keep both families in your prayers as we work to move forward.”
