“Young and the Restless” Star Dies

“Young and the Restless” star William Wintersole has reportedly died at the age of 88.

Wintersole, who has played the role of Mitchell Sherman on the show for 20 years, reportedly died earlier this week at his Los Angeles home. According to his daughter, the veteran actor died due to complications from cancer.

Wintersole also played the role of Ted Ballantine on “General Hospital” in the 1980s, and had appearances on “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Kojak,” “Little House on the Prairie,” “Quincy,” “Bonanza,” “Star Trek,” and “The Fugitive” during his career.
