Officials in Battle Ground, Indiana, say that a woman has been found dead inside a home with a python coiled around her neck, one of over 100 snakes in the home.
Laura Hurst, 36, was found dead with an 8-foot python coiled around her neck, according to police. Crews attempted to revive the woman, but were unable to do so. The reticulated python was found alongside 139 other snakes in the house.
Police said approximately 20 of the snakes found belonged to Hurst. Her connection to the residence wasn’t immediately clear but investigators said “she frequents the location approximately 2 times a week.”
