A man named Tupac A. Shakur was reportedly arrested this weekend in Tennessee on charges related to meth possession and threatening police officers.
Shakur, not to be confused with the deceased rap star, was arrested in Johnson City, Tennessee, for possession of methamphetamine. He reportedly struggled with officers, pulling a knife and threatening them at one point, before eventually being wrestled to the ground by police.
Shakur was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple possession of meth and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He reportedly shares the same first and last names as the late rapper, as well as the same middle initial, but is it unclear if he legally changed his name or was, coincidentally, given it at birth.
