BREAKING: Mandatory Evacuations Ordered in Moreno Valley, California


The Sandalwood Fire is currently burning close to the city of Calimesa. The fire is located near Sandalwood Drive and Seventh Street near the I-10 exit ramp. At least five mobile homes have been destroyed. Evacuations have been ordered for homes and a nearby elementary school, per CBS Los Angeles. There are multiple injuries to people from the mobile home park that the blaze tore through.

The Sandalwood Fire has now spread to 500 acres and is 0% contained.


The Reche Fire is one of several that erupted Thursday in Southern California as high winds and dry conditions battered the region. Mandatory evacuations were ordered in Moreno Valley as of 2:40 p.m. on Reche Canyon Road, east of Reche Vista Drive and west of Locust Avenue. The fire reportedly began as a trailer fire.

The fire has reportedly grown to around 100 acres, per FOX Los Angeles.
