A passenger traveling on a Delta flight from Orlando to Atlanta said another woman was in her seat and refused to move. The passenger called a flight attendant over and the attendant tried to get the other woman out of her seat. The attendant said the woman was not listed on the manifest.
Every time they asked for her boarding pass, the woman told authorities she threw it away after she got on the plane. When they asked for ID, she showed them a photo of herself on her phone, the passenger said.
The pilot then called the police, who were then able to remove the woman from the plane. The plane left the gate but quickly returned when they were told that the woman did not have a ticket for any airline. A passenger said, “The plane was searched by dogs and TSA agents. Every single passenger had a patdown, and all of our bags were searched again.” It is not known how the woman was able to get on the plane.
Delta released a statement regarding the incident:
