“Karate Kid” actor Robert Garrison has reportedly died at the age of 59.
Garrison, who played the role of “Tommy” in the film, reportedly died Friday morning in a Pennsylvania hospital. He had reportedly been in a West Virginia hospital dealing with kidney and liver troubles before his transfer to the Pennsylvania hospital for more specialized treatment.
Garrison began as a child actor in the late 1970s before landing the “Tommy” role in the hit 1984 karate movie starring Ralph Macchio. He went on to play small roles on TV shows like “MacGyver,” “Columbo” and “Coach” before retiring from acting.
