U.S. Justice Department Sues Edward Snowden

The United States Justice Department is suing Edward Snowden, saying that profits from his new book should be turned over because he revealed classified information, according to Bloomberg.

Snowden allegedly broke policy by failing to submit his book for review for classified information before publishing it.

Bloomberg writes “the government also accuses Snowden of violating the agreements with the CIA and NSA by giving public speeches on intelligence-related matters. G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where the suit was filed, said in a statement that the government is trying to recover profit from the book rather than block publication.”
