Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ric Ocasek has died at the age of 75, according to NBC New York.
Ocasek, the lead singer of rock band The Cars, was found unresponsive at a townhouse by his estranged wife at around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Along with his band, Ocasek was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
NBC New York reports “The band had 13 top-40 singles, including radio staples like “Good Times Roll” and “Just What I Needed,” and Ocasek went on to a successful producing career after The Cars broke up in the late 1980s.”
