Neighborhood Evacuated in Silverdale, Washington, After Explosives Found Inside Home

Law enforcement in Silverdale, Washington, ordered the evacuation of a neighborhood after explosives were found inside a home.

Police originally responded to reports of shots fired in the neighborhood, issuing a shelter-in-place for residents. However, shortly after they discovered explosives inside of a man’s home, prompting the evacuations. Explosives experts from the FBI and ATF were called to the scene as well.

The owner of the home was reportedly cooperative with police and have been taken to a nearby hospital for examination.
