U.S. health officials say that they have narrowed their investigation into a mysterious lung disease believed to be vaping-related.
The CDC says that they have narrowed down their investigation to 380 cases spread across 36 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Officials say that they lowered the scope of their investigation to only “probable” or “confirmed” cases, removing dozens that had previously been included.
The outbreak has created scrutiny of vaping and prompted lawmakers to call for stricter regulation of e-cigarettes. President Donald Trump also stated earlier this week that his administration would move forward to sweep the market of flavored e-cigarettes in an effort to crackdown on vaping. At least six people have died from the respiratory illness.
