Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney Eric Lertzman has been identified as the gunman in a Northridge domestic shooting that has been called a possible double murder-suicide by police.
The shooting, which occurred inside a home Wednesday morning, was a domestic incident, according to police. Lertzman reportedly killed his wife and adult son before turning the gun on himself, while his daughter was reportedly able to escape the shooting by jumping out of a window and running to a neighbor’s home for help.
Lertzman had reportedly been on disability leave at the time. He was identified as the gunman by City Attorney Mike Feuer.
