BREAKING: Former NFL Player and Doctor Charged in Federal Opioid Case

Former NFL player Sedrick Hodge and Doctor Victor Hanson have been charged with illegally distributing prescription drugs, including opioids, in Georgia.

Hodge, who played for the New Orleans Saints, and Dr. Hanson were arrested alongside two others. Hodge, 40, is accused of illegal distribution of controlled substances, among other charges, while Hanson faces 14 counts of illegal drug distribution involving prescriptions.

Hodge also played linebacker for the University of North Carolina. He spent five seasons in the NFL.
