BREAKING: Cal State San Bernardino Student Diagnosed with Tuberculosis; At Least 400 Possibly Exposed

A student at Cal State University San Bernardino has reportedly tested positive for tuberculosis, possible exposing around 400 others to the disease.

California health officials are notifying the 400 students and employees by email with information about getting tested for tuberculosis. The exposures are believed to have occurred sometime between April and August of this year.

TB is a disease spread by bacteria that primarily affect the lungs. Symptoms include a bad cough, pain in the chest and coughing up blood. Treatments are available, but can be deadly when left untreated.
