Former MLB Star Dies at 38

Former Major League Baseball star Chris Duncan has died at 38 after a battle with brain cancer, according to Fox 2 St. Louis.

“The Cardinals are deeply saddened by the passing of Chris Duncan and extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife, Amy, the entire Duncan family, and his many friends,” said Cardinals Chairman and CEO Bill DeWitt Jr.  “Chris was an integral part of our 2006 championship team and a great teammate and friend to many in the organization.”

Duncan played for the Cardinals from 2005 to 2009, before joining a radio station in 2011.

He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2012 and took time off of work. The brain cancer returned earlier this year. Duncan took a leave of absence from the station in January.
