A man from Lafayette, Louisiana, has been arrested after he allegedly bit the head off of an alligator.
Clayton Voorhies, 23, of Lafayette, for aggravated cruelty to animals and taking an alligator during a closed season, while two others were cited for illegal possession of an alligator. The three were reportedly frogging when they encountered a small alligator. Through their investigation, police determined that Voorhies capture the alligator and then killed it by biting its head off.
Aggravated cruelty to animals in Louisiana carries a $5,000 to $25,000 fine and one to ten years in jail.
