BREAKING: Air Force to Test Drinking Water Wells Near U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado for Elevated Chemical Levels

The Air Force will reportedly be testing drinking water wells near their academy in Colorado for elevated chemical levels.

The tests come after a preliminary test showed levels higher than the EPA guidelines at other wells in and around the area. The chemicals believed to be involved are Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), part of the family of PFCs (perfluorochemicals) and PFAS ( polyfluoroalkyl substances). 

Air Force officials say they will also investigate any possible impacts the usage of the chemicals found in previous tests had.
