Fatalities Reported After Plane Crashes Into New York House

At least two people were killed and another was unaccounted for Saturday after a plane crashed into a house in New York, authorities say.

According to state police, the plane carrying three people crashed into a home on South Smith Street in Union Vale, near Poughkeepsie, just after 4 p.m. One person on board was killed and two were injured.

One person died in the home, another was seriously hurt and the third is unaccounted for. The home was fully engulfed in flames after the crash, police said. The plane was a twin-engine Cessna 303 model, according to the National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the crash.
