BREAKING: Dale Earnhardt Jr. On-Board Tennessee Plane Crash

UPDATE: The NTSB has issued a statement on the crash, saying that the plane bounced twice on the runway during its landing before coming down hard on the right main landing gear. The plane then continued down the runway, going through a fence and onto a highway. It caught fire shortly after crashing, per WYFF-TV.

All of those onboard were able to escape the fire before it began.

Emergency crews are responding to reports of a plane crash in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

The crash reportedly occurred at the Elizabethton Airport, where the airplane appears to have gone off the end of the runway while landing. All passengers have reportedly made it off of the plane, which caught fire.

NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., his wife, and their baby Isla were reportedly on the flight and are all believed to be safe, Earnhardt Jr.’s sister Kelley tweeted. They have been taken to the hospital for evaluation.
