California Man Arrested After Kicking a Beachgoer’s Dog “15 Feet Into the Air” and Fighting Lifeguards

A California man has been arrested after he allegedly kicked a beachgoer’s dog “15 feet into the air.”

Dylan McTaggart, 25, reportedly approached a woman on the beach and, without provocation, grabbed her dog and kicked it “15 feet into the air,” according to Port Hueneme police. He then went on to fight lifeguards who tried to intervene, before trying to run from police. He was caught shortly after trying to run.

McTaggart was taken to a Ventura County jail and booked on charges including fighting in public, assault on a lifeguard and felony animal cruelty. The dog suffered a collapsed lung and a displaced heart. She is currently recovering at home.
