A Florida woman has been arrested after a one-year-old in her care overdosed on fentanyl.
Heather Aliesha Revell, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect. She was reportedly home with the child when she injected heroin laced with fentanyl. The child was then found unresponsive the next morning, and paramedics were forced to administer Narcan to save them.
Revell told police that she believed she had cleaned up the drugs and put them away, but the child may have gotten into the leftovers and ingested them. The one-year-old is expected to survive.
